A frightfully fun Halloween afternoon at The Barley Mow
Halloween at The Barley Mow is shaping up to be a frightfully fun family affair, with face painting, cookie decorating and pumpkin decorating on Saturday 31st October from 3pm to 5pm.
We’re transforming our conservatory into a little den of spooky fun right here in Englefield Green.
Something is definitely brewing, and the little ones are invited. Here’s everything you need to know about the afternoon, from fearsome face paint to sugary creations they can take home.
What’s happening for Halloween at The Barley Mow?
Two hours of creative, slightly ghoulish fun is on the cards. Little monsters can try face painting, cookie decorating and pumpkin decorating, all in one cosy spot.
Expect sweet treats, plenty of mess (the good kind) and a few suitably spooky surprises along the way. We’ll handle the clean-up, you handle the photos.
Face painting for little monsters
Our face painter will be on hand to bring their Halloween alter egos to life. A fearsome little tiger, a magical witch or something altogether more mysterious? The choice is theirs.
Just don’t be surprised if they refuse to wash it off before bedtime.
Cookie and pumpkin decorating
Once they’re suitably transformed, it’s time to get stuck in. Little ones can decorate their very own cookies and pumpkins, adding as much spooky flair as their imaginations allow.
Whether those cookies make it home in one piece is another matter entirely. We won’t tell if a few mysteriously vanish on the way.
When is the Halloween kids’ event in Englefield Green?
The fun runs on Saturday 31st October from 3pm to 5pm in the conservatory at The Barley Mow. It’s a lovely way to fill the afternoon before the trick or treating begins.
