Join us for The Barley Mow Autumn Game Night! On Thursday, 14th November at 7pm, we’re bringing you an unforgettable evening of delicious food and fine wine, it’s all fun and game! For £60, you’ll enjoy a specially curated three-course meal and choose between two starters, mains, and desserts, each perfectly paired with wines selected just for the occasion.

Our very own Ed Nelson, an integral member of the Bar Operations team at Heartwood Inns, will guide you through the evening’s wine pairings, sharing his expertise on the complementary flavours between each dish and its designated wine. Vegetarian options are available on request!

What’s on the menu?

Kick off the evening with a sparkling glass of prosecco on arrival. For starters, savour dishes like wood pigeon breast with autumn coleslaw, perfectly paired with a Rioja Blanco, Azabache. As your main, delight in a rich venison, mushroom, and red wine pie, served with green beans and mash, complemented by a smooth Pinot Noir, Sensas.

And for dessert? Choose between a classic Crème Brûlée alongside a sublime Monbazillac Chateau Ramon – a wine-derful pairing – or indulge in our stunning Baba au Rhum.
